Prof. Thomas Szasz, Co-founder, CCHR The Citizens Commission on Human Rights’ board of advisors, called Commissioners, includes doctors, lawyers, educators, celebrities, business professionals and civil and human rights representatives. Their duties include advising CCHR in their professional capacity, on issues relating to CCHR’s activities. They also include but are not limited to:
Each year in February, CCHR holds an anniversary dinner and human rights awards dinner in Los Angeles. The following day is the annual Commissioners Meeting so that there is agreement on the campaigns and activities CCHR intends working on for the upcoming year. This is not mandatory but it is an exciting weekend where the Commissioners get to meet each other and other dignitaries and people concerned with our issues. The names of the Commissioners are displayed in CCHR International’s headquarters at the end of its state of the art permanent museum on the history of psychiatry and on its letterhead.
